Not a statistic.
A question.
This is the question God placed on my heart — and I believe He is asking it of the Church at large. It is a question about the Bride of Christ, and whether she has made room at the table for every mind He has made.
Neurodiversity includes autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, Tourette syndrome, sensory processing differences, and other cognitive variations. These are not deficits — they are different operating systems, beautiful minds wired uniquely by a creative God.

When we imagine unreached people groups, our minds travel to distant countries. But a significant population sits in our schools, our streets, and potentially already in our pews.

Where we are
losing them.
Churches often love neurodiverse children well. But a painful pattern emerges as these children grow — a series of transitions that, without preparation, become points of departure.
- Children → YouthLoud, fast-paced formats and unspoken social codes leave neurodiverse youth overwhelmed instead of welcomed.
- Middle → High SchoolIdentity and belonging intensify. If church hasn't felt safe, they quietly opt out.
- High School → Young AdulthoodThe critical breaking point — many conclude that God and church are simply not places they belong.

Sermon series, an annual Neurodiversity Sunday, workshops, and testimonies — a whole congregation that welcomes and celebrates how God wires each mind.

Lifespan Ministry Pathways
Sensory-friendly children's ministry, a slower-paced youth cohort, a young adult microchurch, and sustained support for adults and families.

Parent Support Ministry
Monthly gatherings, an annual family retreat, resource navigation, prayer teams, and 'Been There' mentor parents walking alongside new families.

Stage 01
Ages 0–12
Strengthen the Foundation
Sensory-friendly worship, visual schedules, fidget-friendly environments, quarterly parent coaching, and IEP-aware ministry planning.
Stage 02
Ages 13–17
Bridge the Gap
A dedicated youth cohort meeting at a slower pace, neurodiverse-to-young-adult mentor pairs, and transition planning that begins at age 14.
Stage 03
Ages 18–30
Find Your People Here
A weekly neurodiversity microchurch, vocational discipleship, peer networks, and intentional outreach to UF & Santa Fe students.
Stage 04
Adults & Families
Sustained Support
Parent support at every stage, counseling referrals, caregiver respite, and community partnerships for employment and life skills.
